Founding Fathers Quotes on "America First"
•Posted on October 03, 2022
The phrase "America First" was made popular in 2016 during the Presidential campaign of Donald Trump. Trump's campaign used this slogan to promote the political movement of putting "America first" in matters of trade, manufacturing, national security, immigration, and more.
"America First" resonated with a large portion of America, namely working class people that have seen America's manufacturing industries shipped out of the country and mass immigration lowering the wages of average Americans.
The central message of the "America First" movement is to promote the interest of middle-class Americans and working-class families to have better prospects of employment and higher wages.
America First is a patriotic movement to end the exploitation of our government and economy by international corporations and corrupt politicians. Proper patriots fulfill their patriotic duty by putting our country first!
Founding Fathers Quotes on America First
The Founding Fathers would likely be condemned as “America first” types today. They were very clear that, while they regarded universal political and philosophical principles, they also believed in their primary loyalty to the United States and their fellow Americans.
“When once a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct.” ~ Thomas Jefferson, 1799
Today we have politicians that do not seek office for the benefit of their communities and country, but to seek personal gain by selling out their countrymen.
“Men by their constitutions are naturally divided into two parties: 1. Those who fear and distrust the people, and wish to draw all powers from them into the hands of the higher classes. 2. Those who identify themselves with the people, have confidence in them, cherish and consider them as the most honest and safe, although not the most wise depository of the public interests. In every country these two parties exist; and in every one where they are free to think, speak, and write, they will declare themselves.” ~ Thomas Jefferson, 1824
We need more politicians like the latter, true America First patriots!
“The patriot, like the Christian, must learn that to bear revilings and persecutions is a part of his duty; and in proportion as the trial is severe, firmness under it becomes more requisite and praiseworthy.” ~ Thomas Jefferson, 1805
Fighting for America First and the American people will not be easy, but it is a fight worthy of sacrifice and endurance!
“It is in the man of piety and inward principle, that we may expect to find the uncorrupted patriot, the useful citizen, and the invincible soldier. God grant that in America true religion and civil liberty may be inseparable and that the unjust attempts to destroy the one, may in the issue tend to the support and establishment of both.” ~ John Witherspoon, 1776
“Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.” ~ George Washington, 1796
“My affections were first for my own country, and then, generally, for all mankind.” ~ Thomas Jefferson, 1811
