We honored and gave back to a total of 162 of our Veterans, Service members, Military Spouses & Families, Law Enforcement, First Responders, and those Patriots who strongly support our military community with a no cost overnight fishing retreat.

All around it was a great opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals, share stories, comradery, and built meaningful relationships that could be life changing.

Health & Wellness

Had the opportunity to reset and recharge. Left the hustle and bustle, enjoyed some premiere fishing spots, caught a few trophy trout, watched and listened to the crackling fires … priceless.

Notable Highlights

350+ meals were served, Attendees came from 9 states, even California. We awarded 9 pieces of memorabilia, 2 local newspapers attended, and much more.

Justin is tenaciously persistent and exercises bulletproof commitment to Veterans and Veteran causes that he believes in. His endearing charisma and unquestionable passion has enabled him to grow a large following of believers who appreciate and respect his style and sincerity.

The Veteran's Fishing Retreat is one of the many outstanding initiatives Justin is spearheading and I urge all those who wish the best for Justin and the movement he has created to find ways to support and encourage Justin in a manner that will continue to fuel Justin on his path. I am blessed to call Justin, a friend, a brother and an advisor and wish him and all those who support him continued success!

The Proper Patriot Fishing Retreat was such a wonderful event! I wasn't sure what to expect...what I experienced was organization, care, thoughtfulness and fellowship. From the morning networking and prayer to the meals and ending the day with fireside chats everything was easygoing and fun! Oh, the fishing was awesome! Thank you, Justin and Proper Patriot for giving ABBTECH the opportunity and venue to say THANK YOU and to spend the day with our veterans.

The Annual Patriots Fishing Retreat, what a great and honorable event this is that Justin has thrown the past two yrs. We're very honored to be able to help in any kind of way possible to make this event happen. It's been been blast the last two yrs attending, even the first yr when it poured raining the while day. But even with the inconvenient weather everyone had huge smiles on theirs faces.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the Fishing just tops it off. You can tell the Love and Passion Justin has put into this and it shows every year. The evening stories by the fireside, the joking as we all huddled under the covered area when the rain kicked into high gear, and probably my favorite of the stories and history lessons from the American Civil War Reenactment guys that were there as well. We were honored to have the opportunity to provide support to the amazing efforts of Justin Pearson and Proper Patriot for this year’s Veterans Day Patriot’s Fishing Retreat. This event is quite unique among beautiful, relaxing surroundings. Inspiring Veterans bonded with fellow veterans, shared a fishing experience with new friends, and shared their stories. The entire event had a singular goal-provide Veterans a chance to enjoy the day while connecting with fellow brothers and sisters. This goal was definitely achieved.

As a Marine Veteran the ability to get together with fellow vets is such a necessity and blessing so that we can share stories with each other, share struggles, and just relate to members of our “family” without needing to explain ourselves or try to connect in some surface way. The bond of the veteran family is something you cannot describe to those who have never been a member. The Proper Patriot fishing trip, allowed me to link up with veterans and just be. I got to talk face to face with linkedin connections, I got to meet potential business partners, I got to fish with my girls and let them just run around in a safe environment outside with people I trust since they are all family. Everyone welcomes you with open arms.

PM-ProLearn was honored to sponor the event in a small way. It’s hard to put into words the joy and peace of just being outside, relaxing with fellow veteran family members. I cannot wait for the next opportunity to have a family reunion fishing by a stream outside with those who understand what it means to serve without having to say a word.
